Why Communication is Important for Good Dental Health

Sunday, November 06, 2011

During my many years of practice, I’ve learned that there is no “typical” patient. Every person has a unique set of oral health challenges that must be addressed and managed with a high level of personalization. The only way that we can successfully do our job and provide truly individualized care is through highly interactive visits.

I want to make it clear to my patients that communication is a two-way street at my comprehensive Boulder dental practice. I rely on your input to effectively diagnose and treat issues with the goal of helping you achieve the best smile possible.

Starting with your initial consultation and continuing through to all of your  wellness visits and dental treatments, you are encouraged to share any and all information about your lifestyle and your overall health. In turn, my team and I will share valuable information you can use throughout your lifetime to achieve and maintain healthy teeth and gums.

We’ll also continue to provide you with details on all of the dental restoration services we feel may be of benefit to you, along with new treatments and procedures that may enhance your health and smile appearance.

It is vital that you feel at ease with our team and are able to share any concerns you may have about your dental health or the type of care we provide. If there is anything we can do to enhance your experience, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Good communication is just one aspect of highly personalized dental care. Read more about our customized care in our blog entitled

How Personalization Enhances Your Dental Visit.”

To learn more about our philosophy of care and schedule your first visit, please contact my Boulder, Colorado dental practice at your convenience. We look forward to getting to know you and introducing you to our unique, comfortable style of dentistry.

The Importance of Fun During Dental Visits

Sunday, August 14, 2011

It’s time for another visit to the dental chair and, if you’re like most people, you show up expecting a run-of-the-mill, standard teeth cleaning and exam session. But if your dental appointment is scheduled at my state-of-the-art dental practice, you will be treated to a different kind of dental experience altogether.

No matter what the purpose of your dental visit might be, our goal is to make sure that every patient is having fun. We go out of our way to ensure you have a good time, whether you are here for restoration services, such as dental crowns, porcelain veneers, and dental implants, dental rehabilitation, or additional dental services like laser dentistry, root canals, dentures, and bridges.

My skillful, experienced dental team is focused on your comfort and satisfaction, whether you are relaxing with some hot tea or coffee in our waiting area or watching your favorite DVD during your procedure. Our wide range of amenities help you achieve peace of mind while you are in the dental chair. During all visits, you will appreciate the lighthearted mood and positive demeanor of our staff members. And if there is anything that might make your visit that much better, we are always open to suggestions!

We also offer fun and creative ways for our littlest patients to enjoy their time with us. Movies and music work wonders for keeping children entertained during their treatments, and educational toys and models help explain the importance of their time with us. All of our team members are highly experienced working with children, and you’ll find that we create an engaging and fun atmosphere to ease them through treatment.

If you are due for a dental wellness visit, my team and I invite you to come see for yourself what a difference a little fun can make. Please contact my Boulder, Colorado dental office to schedule your first visit with our exceptional team.
